Sarah Heidebrink-Bruno

Sarah is in the first year of the Ph. D. program, after having taken a year off to live in Tacoma, WA, where she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member for a pre-school literacy and kindergarten readiness program. Now back at Lehigh, where she earned her MA in English and her graduate certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies in 2013, Sarah is still refining her research interests. At this moment, she is interested in exploring representations of expansive love in modern literature and investigating how imagined or speculated worlds influence our ideas about our own world. She is also committed to community engagement efforts that extend beyond service learning to create a mutual learning environment in tandem with the city of Bethlehem and its residents.
