Britney Wachter

Brit received her undergraduate degree in English literature from California State University East Bay in 2015.  A first year masters student, her academic interests remain broad but she is drawn to fin de siècle and Victorian literature, naturalism, working-class fiction, and feminist theory.  

Lauren Van Atta

Lauren Van Atta earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Dayton, where she majored in English and minored in Psychology. She switched her academic focus from Psychology after taking a required freshman writing course centered around Shakespeare and continues to pursue Early Modern Drama. Her other academic interests include feminist and queer theories, discourses of the (Early Modern) body, consumption, and the Market.

Ethan Robles

"Ethan graduated cum laude with a B.A. in English from DeSales University in 2014 and will start his graduate study at Lehigh in the fall of 2017.  Ethan loves comic books, movies, conspiracy theories, and anything that has to do with the horror and science fiction genre.  Although he is still figuring out what he would like focus on critically, he is interested in contemporary fiction, post-modernism, modernism, gothic literature, and depictions of the American west." 

Trisha Nardone

Trisha Nardone graduated from Cedar Crest College in May 2017 with a B.A. in English. She lives in Allentown with her husband and three children. In addition to one day finding a job, she hopes to share her love of literature with everyone she comes into contact with, which she believes will likely make the world a kinder place.

Shelby Carr

Shelby Carr pursued her undergrad at Penn State University, where she majored in English and minored in Women’s Studies. Her academic interests include 19th century American literature (Poe, Hawthorne, and Brockden Brown), contemporary women writers, and the short story. She is a member of the Poe Studies Association. Shelby intends to pursue her Ph.D. in English after completing her M.A. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, hiking, and hanging out with her dog and loved ones.  

Claire Silva

 Claire Silva graduated magna cum laude from Penn State University in 2016 with a degree in English and a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. A lifelong resident of Bethlehem, PA, she looks forward to continuing her education and beginning her career as an educator at Lehigh. Her interests include rhetoric and composition, community literacies, composition & feminist pedagogy, and the rhetoric of community-university relationships (plus the occasional detective story).

Cherise Yan Juin Fung

Cherise was born and raised near Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. She graduated with a BS in psychology and minors in political science and literature from Kutztown University. Currently a first year MA student, her academic interests center on the postcolonial and hybridity, with a particular focus on the female subaltern and her representation as constituted by international legal regimes and global capitalism.

Margaret Norsworthy

I grew up in Atlanta, GA and finished B.A. degrees in political science and anthropology in May 2017. I studied abroad in Vietnam, Israel, and Cambodia, and have a deep interest in cultivating dialogue between parties who disagree with one another. I'm excited to be shifting my studies to the craft of writing while I pursue a Masters degree in English.
